Passementerie or passementarie is the art of making elaborate trimmings or edgings of applied braid, gold or silver cord, embroidery, colored silk, or beads for clothing or furnishings.
These shuttles aid in the making of such fine trims.  This listing is for one double bobbin shuttle, it is approx. 5.5" long and is 1.25 thick and 1.5 wide. and come with 2 resin bobbins, you will be able to purchase wooden bobbins soon.  Engraving is not included.  You can find a listing to add engraving to any shuttle or weaving tool.

Update:  My father passed away this morning 10-11-2024. I need to close earlier than planned to take care of funeral arrangements.    Handywoman shop will close on October 12, 2024 and reopen on January 5th 2025.  No orders will be taken during this time and payment processing will be turned off.   All orders taken before shutting down will be shipped out as usual rest assured your orders will not be delayed at all by my closing.  USPS is slower during these last few months of the year so plan ahead.
