Carved Backstrap Heddles
Handmade carved backstrap loom. These are made from solid wood and are 1/2" thick to 1/4" thick where the patterns holes are located. Not sure what to start with? Get the 9 short slot. With it you can make bands for 5, 7 and 9 pattern threads. To go with it, I highly recommend Susan J. Foulkes' book "Weaving Patterned Bands" for beginners. It has great information to get you started. (a wonderful customer suggested the line above :) )

The Durham Weaver is a great source for band weaving.
