Applique Thread Bag
I love needle turned applique and wanted a place to store all my 60 weight applique thread. I also wanted to be able to pull the thread from the pouch rather than having to take the spools out of the bag. This fits the bill. I have three and love them all!
Basic Skills Necessary:Good working knowledge of your machine. Experience will be helpful for adding zippers. Sewing with vinyl also helpful. However there are step by step pictured instructions for each step.
Pattern Description:Sizing / Finished Measurements:
15x35 with 6 pockets for spools of thread and 1 for other embroidery /needle turn applique tools.
Materials:1 yard fabric for outer bag
1 yard fabric for inner/Lining bagor 1 1/4 yard fabric for both and binding tape
1 yard of batting
1/2 yard clear vinyl med thickness
2 yards of binding (you can purchase or make your own from the left over lining fabric
7 - 14 inch zippers
1 yard of medium rick rack
Matching thread or invisible
6 - 1x12 inch strips of coordinating wool
Double sided 1/4 basting or zipper tape
You Will Also Need:General sewing tools and a teflon foot
